Killing Train was formed in the summer of 2008 when Phil McAndrew (guitar) and Paul Torossian (bass guitar) met through some mutual friends. Phil and Paul both shared a common liking for the Classic Rock genre and for the pioneers of blues. After some time of writing together they brought Andrew Giese (percussionist) into the band and played just the three of them for over a year. They wrote together and played shows. Soon after that they brought in Frank Valenzano in the Spring of 2011. Killing Train has now transformed from being a Rock N' Roll band to becoming a very blues oriented band. The bands love for the blues in more apparent then ever now. Killing Train has taken their love for the blues and have put their own spin on it and really utilizing the tube distortion in their sound giving their music more of a punch and them a strong warm sound.
Killing Train has just finished recording their first EP entitled "Sell Back the Matches" which is due to be released in late September, early October 2011.
