Fans can also immerse themselves in the new single via its music video, available now on YouTube.
‘Mexico’ elegantly blends a variety of compelling sonic themes to craft a sound that’s wholly unique to Kilo Jones. The track has hip hop stylings and production, soulful, contemporary delivery, and R&B-like presentation. Perhaps akin to Frank Ocean or the like, Jones has developed a sound that blends some of the most successful and intriguing elements of the modern music scene.
Jones is often described as “a breakthrough from the box of expectancy.” His music boasts a raw authenticity that not many independent performers can harness. He paints musical landscapes chock-full of relatable concepts melded with self-analysis and complex energies. This approach is a fascinating one, and it’s become a style that Jones’ fan-base are constantly eager for more of.
“People are going to love ‘6 Nights In Vegas,’ and that really means a lot to me,” Jones says in regard to his new release. Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
Kilo Jones: I grew up in Fayetteville, North Carolina. My mom used to always play old school R&B and I grew curious over time, I knew at an early age that I wanted to make music.
Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?
Kilo Jones: Nah, my homie daughter called me that one day and I ran with it.
Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?
Kilo Jones: Of course, I give lots of my music away for free. As I continue to grow my audience I want them to have the convenience of listening to some of my music for free as well as find Kilo Jones in places like iTunes and Spotify. There are a lot of platforms available to help artist share their music online, definitely a tool that should not be over looked.

Kilo Jones - There You Go
A couple days back while I was out on leave, we got an email from Kilo Jones where he shared a track titled “There You Go” that he recently dropped and at first listen I was hooked, its soulful wordplay really traveled in light years for a journey we enjoyed taking many times that I needed to stop wasting time and have it on the site for y’all to enjoy that ride.
“You Only Get One Time, Make It Work This Time. I Know You Feel My Vibe, Put It On The Line”
I hear the words express in the track and I’m sure at one point in time we can all relate to it, he brings a level of honestly that leaves us shook at every closing bar making it one of my personal favorites to be writing about this week. I pray to get more music from Kilo Jones real soon but until then we’ll continue enjoying the track as we recommend you do too. (Salute) - WavesMovement
