The best kept secret in music

"Beat Box: Fall's Hottest Divas"

Move over Chubby Checker, there’s a new twist movement being led by celebratory dance diva Kimberly Davis. Twist of Love follows Davis’ kinetic smash from last summer, "Get Up." Once again, Davis grabs listeners up off their rears and makes them shake - or rather, twist - their groove thangs. Davis’ voice soars in this deliciously colorful anthem. Its chorus is so catchy you’ll be singing it all week.

Kimberly Davis was born in Brooklyn but loves singing for the world. She’s performed for audiences ranging from Argentina to Ireland, and from Scotland to Spain to Russia.

Not only was she successful as a student at Manhattan’s fabled High School of Performing Arts, which inspired the movie, “Fame”, but she quickly began being booked for professional singing engagements. Soon she became a back-up singer for such artists as Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam and Cheryl Pepsii Riley.

Ultimately choosing to pursue her own, individual opportunities, Kimberly began singing with a wide range of performers including Mary J. Blige, Alicia Keys, Rob Thomas, Deborah Cox, Mary Wilson, and many more. She is currently the lead singer for Nile Rodgers' Chic, the classic American disco and R&B band, and a well-known New York party band, The UnionN.

The power of Kimberly’s voice, and her musical versatility, brought her to the attention of New York City-based composer and conductor, Jim Papoulis, founder of Amphion Music. Thanks to Jim’s songwriting partnership with Mike Greenly - New York City speechwriter, creative director, and lyricist – Kimberly found herself “discovered” by D1 Music company President, Peter McLean.
