Kimberly Fox Classical Guitarist


Kimberly Fox is an Akron based classical guitarist and composer. She has performed throughout Ohio, including solo performances at Baldwin Wallace Conservatory and Oberlin Conservatory.


A teachers heart for music, and a passion for guitar composition, Kimberly Fox has written works for solo guitar, guitar trio, guitar in small ensembles, flute, violin, choir, and string ensemble. Her solo works for guitar, "Provision" and "Morning Rise" are published by Clear Note Publications and have been featured as the 2006 Contemporary Series piece in Soundboard Magazine.

.As a performer, Ms. Fox has given concerts throughout Ohio, and is a featured performer on two anthology CD's. In addition to her composing and performing activities, Kimberly maintains a large private teaching studio and engraves music professionally. She began her guitar studies at Malone College with Michael Curtis, and has had further instrumental studies with flamenco artist Mir Ali. Kimberly has performed in masterclasses with Randall Avers, Angelo Favis, Stanley Yates, Ricardo Cobo, Andrew Zohn and Stephen Robinson and has studied composition with guitarist/composer James Marron. She completed her Bachelor of Music in performance with Stephen Aron at The University of Akron where she is currently enrolled in the Masters program.
