Bio

Kimberly's influences run far and wide. While her favorite band is Weezer, she says she can't do them justice. When writing she draws influence from James Marsters, Ingrid Michaelson, Julie Roberts, and many more. As she was compiling the songs for her upcoming album she explained, "James Marsters once said to me,'song writing is about taking something that can be painful and turning it into something beautiful to share with the world so that others may know that there is someone else out there that can sympathize with them.' I took that advice from him and decided to write "Pain Into Beauty", which is almost not but not fully autobiographical. I have been through a lot in my life, I was diagnosed with M.S. and was stuck in a wheel chair at the time in my life when I had gotten where I wanted in my career, life was good. Then the disease, a failing marriage and well; life happened. As always not to plan. I had to relearn how to walk, play my instruments, and get through tough times getting my kids and I on our feet again. There was a lot of healing and growing pains along the way. I wanted to write my way through it. Since I know there are so many people out there that have 'growing pains' of they're own maybe this album will let them know that they aren't alone and maybe then they can try to move on too. " So since she is now almost finished she is starting to work on her inspiration for her follow up.
