Bio

I guess my real passion for music began when I was about 13 and I discovered my brother's Big Beatles Songbook and his acoustic guitar. I followed along with the picture chords and before I knew it, I was learning how to play all of the records (yes, I said records!) that I owned.

Eventually I ended up in L.A. and was lucky enough to play bass in a band (Zelda) managed by Lou Adler (The Mamas & The Papas, Carole King). We played clubs all over L.A. such as "The Roxy", "The Mint" and "Molly Malones". Then major heartbreak hit. Everything changed in the blink of an eye...Kim Hall was born. Night after night I would sit in my tiny apartment and pour it all out on the guitar, writing song after song. After countless open mic nights, I finally started performing in bars and coffee shops all over L.A.

Strangely enough, once I started recording my album, I found my niche 3000 miles away back in my hometown of Baltimore, Maryland at Secret Sound Studios. With the help of producers Mike Smith (Evolver, former guitar player for Limp Bizkit) and country music guru John Grant, I released my first 3 song EP in 2005, of which I proudly donate 50% of all proceeds to Breast Cancer research. Look for my debut full length CD due out early 2009.
