Bio

When I was 5 years old, my dad bought me a ukulele. He played banjo, and was always trying to teach me how to play. I would entertain company by singing and dancing while my dad played the banjo. I still have that ukulele, and now I have the banjo since his passing earlier this year. In highschool I got a Les Paul copy, and taught myself to play, then at age 19 my dad bought me my full bodied Yamaha acoustic.
That guitar has been on the road with me and I have written all my songs, and taken it into the studio for all my recordings. Everything I write comes from my heart, and all the songs have a story. I grew up listening to old country and Elvis Presley, so I guess there's some influnce there.
I started playing at open mic nights solo, and along the way I have sung back-ups in other bands, including Universal Honey. But, I am a singer/songwriter with her own ideas, and I needed to get that out. I joined up with Frank 12 years ago, and we've been doing a lot of acoustic two-piece gigs across southern Ontario. I had people asking me everywhere if they could buy a CD of my songs. I was doing mostly covers, but decided to record an 8 song CD for all those devoted followers. Now, 2 years after my first independant CD "Simple", I am heading into the studio with a new vision. Something stronger vocally, and with a new producer, I think this is going to be a fabulous collection that will appeal to a wide listening audince.
