We are a 6 piece, mixed bag. We have taken from our roots and melded into a fun country-rockin' band that we call Buckshot Betty. Talk about a good time...

Biography

Literally from mandolins to Marshalls, we play original music. We hit
most of the stops between bluegrass and southern fried AC/DC. Many
alt-country/americana bands toil heavily in sorrow, and while we're no
stranger to melancholy, we savagely court the pissed-off, rowdy
background noise of the small, blue collar, southern town.

Lyrics

If I Were

Written By: Kim Lhuillier

If I Were

E G6 A
If I were the wind, I’d blow away from here
B7 A E
I’d blow across the sky from here to who knows where.

If I were a bird I’d fly from all I’ve known
Without this fence and family the world could be my home

The sky holds drams and promise. I’d change before your eyes
And hope that you’d smile up at me the day I l earned to fly.

Chorus:
A
If I were
D
You’d feel me then
B7
Every time
E
You feel the wind
A
If I were
D
You’d feel me then
B7
Every time
A
You feel the wind

But if I were the wind,
And blew across the skies
I’d miss the quiet in your smile
The color of your eyes

And if I were a bird
And flew from all I’ve known
Could I see you down far below?
Find the heart that’s been my home?

Chorus

So if I’d lose your smile
Then I’ll not be the wind
I’ll lay here in your arms tonight
I’ll dream the dream that we’re both in

And I’ll not be a bird
Just as long as you’re still mine
And I know that you’d smile at me
The day I learned to fly
