Influences:Nature is my number one influence. Time and nature fill the well and then I can write and sing about life , my perceptions of relationships, politics, feelings, everything and anything! Influenced by all those great lady singer/songwriters (just a few are Joni Mitchell, Laura Nyro, Joan Armatrading, Carol King), I love big band music to relax to, love horns, African, Tom Petty, Tom Waits. Todays's world music performers like Angelique Kidjo, Ry Cooders work, the stunning voices of Eva Cassidy and Nick Drake. AND: undiscovered songwriters who are my friends that keep me humble by showing me how many exquisite song craftsmen are out there."
I have been a student of dance all of my life. The connection to movement is profound for me. Therefore, an icon like Kate Bush or Madonna who was able to bring that to their music are held in very high regard for me.
