"Kimmer Rowe plays The Tavery"

"Kimmer Rowe offers a fresh sound washing ashore amid the waves of indie bands. Naming its own genre as American rock, it only takes a few songs to hear the strong song-writing and solid musicianship- hallmarks of American music indeed..." - Macon Telegraph

Bio

Kimmer Rowe embodies what rock and roll was founded on: strong song writing and solid musicianship. Going so far as to admit that finding a genre to categorize the band in was difficult, the band member coined the phrase "American Rock", thus forming their own genre.
Pulling from influences such as John Mellancamp, Tom Petty, and The Goo Goo Dolls, the music of Kimmer Rowe transcends passing musical fads and instead embraces the "meat and potatoes" of what rock and roll has been for generations.
Even with the diversity of music in the catalog of Kimmer Rowe, there is an unmistakable common thread that flows through each song, giving the band their signature sound that is unmistakable.
Audiences everywhere find themselves captivated by the opacity of the music. Strong vocals and painfully honest lyrics connect fans to the band in a way people long to connect. They seem to feel the music as much as they hear it. At any given live show you can find whole audiences captivated by the melodies coming from the stage.
Chris and James grew up a mere 35 miles from one another. Chris in Thomasville, Ga. and James in Tallahassee, Fl. The both shared many mutual friends, but did not officially meet one another until one fateful Craigslist add. The first time the two played music together after the infamous posting, it was known immediately that this was as perfect a pairing of two musicians as had ever been made.
Immediately the two began recording music together and performing. A busy schedule on the road has kept them occupied. With headlining spots at such famous venues such as The Nick, in Birmingham, Alabama (known as the CBGB's of the South), and they're single "long wait" gaining some national attention and radio airplay, the guys find themselves becoming a rising force to contend with.
With the new record being slated for release this Spring, the guys are eagerly anticipating a busy schedule in 2010 and beyond.
