Kim Schmitt
Drummer/Songwriter
Studied drums for 15 years with Mike Ray of Santa Barbara, California. Studied congas and other percussion instruments for five years. Genres include rock, jazz, Latin, New Age and blues. Played and performed with various Santa Barbara bands, musicians and singer/songwriters. Venues include Santa Barbara, CA, Los Angeles, CA, Boulder City, NV, and Las Vegas, NV. Previous bands include the “Nicky Shane Band” which records and performs original songs with Nicky Shane – the record holder for the world’s fastest harmonica player. Currently recording and performing with “Jade Redd” and looking forward to touring nationally and internationally. Influences include all the instructors from Mike’s Drum Shop, the talented kids who I’ve seen do amazing things on the drums and of course, Mick Fleetwood.
