”Kim Vestin showed that she's onto something big. Accompanied by guitar and drums, she herself played the piano and sang – reminiscent of Carole King. A very appealing voice and songs with harmony, actually too good for a small and rainy gig in her hometown.” - Örnsköldsviks Allehanda
”Even though Kim and her band only played for 30 minutes, it was 30 minutes filled with mystery, like a thundercloud it hung over us and every chord was like lightning striking among us. Moving and completely beautiful...” - festivalinfo.se
”High class, self-penned music hovering in pine country between Tori Amos, Suzanne Vega, Joni Mitchell and Kate Bush, sung by a voice that none of today's swedish popsingers come anywhere near of.” - Tidningen 7

Bio
Kim Vestin was raised within walking distance of the forests, lakes and mountains of northern Sweden. She lived alone with her mother, her grandmother and a constantly varying number of cats. Kim was a lonely child, with an abundance of emotions. When she turned 8, her parents brought her a second hand piano and she started composing small worlds made out of music, in which to hide her emotions. These songs were kept secret for many years.
After studying music at various locations, such as Malmö University of Music, Kim grew tired of her studies and decided to drop out, in order to focus on her own writing. She moved to Stockholm in the fall of 2009, where she found her current bandmembers – Oscar Hägglund and Fredric Johansson – who both originate from the same small northern town as Kim.
In the spring of 2012, the three released a home-made CD titled ”This is Peace”. Past performances include singing at The Swedish Royal Castle, in front of the princess Victoria and Kim recently performed at the prestigious Popaganda-festival at Parkteatern.
