Biography

After performing with the cover band, The Betweeners in the 80's she began writing her own music and licensed a song to Disney. The song, Bits and Pieces was featured in the movie An Intimate Friendship which also features a song from Melissa Etheridge.

In 2001 Cari Eden got a new original act together called the Cari Eden Band with John Metcalf, Mike Herrington and Terry Singletary. The band and these powerful rock songs were receiving rave reviews performing at clubs like Jack Rabbit’s and Freebird Café and recorded Dreaming of Oz which ended up having a high energy southern rock sound. But just as things were going well personal issues with band members tore the band apart. She moved to her mother’s cabin in the foothills of the Apalachians near Tallahassee, Florida.

After a long hiatus and seriously considering giving up performing, Cari Kindl decided to learn all aspects of music production and record her own solo album. By 2010 she released The Amazing Nowhere Girl. From that album the song Bottomless Wishing Well is featured in the hit series, They Live Among Us- Episode 5. Her latest album is Superficial Journey released in 2012.

Cari is re “Kindl”ing the band flame with former member, Mike Herrington. They are due to perform again this Spring (2013) performing songs from all three albums and the new song release Distant and Complicated.

Has Anybody Seen My Heart?

Written By: Cari Kindl

Has Anybody Seen My heart?

D
Caught up in the aftermath I sat around looking at a photograph
G A
Of you and that girl, when you were both having the last laugh
D
I got tired of huggin’ the bedroom floor So I walked down town to the liquor store
G A
It was a night with the Captain Or a bottle of floor cleaner

Am D Em
If you see me wandering around
Am D
I’ve been looking for the thing I lost
Em
When the heavens opened up and the bottom dropped out

E Am
Has anybody seen my heart?
D E
I left it with a good friend Now it’s gone
E Am D E break A
Has anybody seen my heart? This could be the end of love

D
Saw my future with a naked eye
Saw an apparition but it passed me by
Looking for the one thing that no one can deny
Found the truth in between the lies
I set a course for the open skies
But I can’t seem to find the one thing to keep my love alive

If you should see me wandering around
I’ve been looking for the thing I lost
When the heavens opened up and the bottom dropped out

Chorus

Break F G A
This could be the end I said to myself
I could take these things I dread and put them on a shelf
Have a little faith I said, I said to myself
It’s you alone with time and time alone will only tell
F G E
It’s you alone with time and time alone will only tell

Saw my future with a naked eye
Saw an apparition but it passed me by
I can’t seem to find the one thing to keep my love alive

If you see me wandering around
I’ve been looking for the thing I lost

Chorus

Stepping Stone

Written By: Cari Kindl

Herein lies the truth
It’s hard to see the dark places
I like to hide
But I will lie down for you
I’ll be your honest mistake
I’ll be your stepping stone
In the path that leads you away from you

I think you’re clever
To move in close and glide her around
On your arm
While you finger the bad girl
What gives you pleasure
Might be a stepping stone
But it just leads you away from her

I like to get dirty
I like when you press me down
She likes the water
It washes you off of her skin

And I am your stepping stone
In the path that leads you away from me
Your stepping stone
To the very place I’ll never be

Hey do ya wanna lay me down down down
I’m gonna take you to a place so far away from her

Its All Over Now

Written By: Cari Kindl

You could say it gets to me but
I’m not the kind to let it show
Everybody’s got their own way of letting go
Nothing moves me like it use to
Nothing feels the same
I guess I better get used to it
It’s all over now
It doesn’t mean that much to me
I guess that it was meant to be
It’s all over now but the crying
I can think of better things to do with all my precious time
Like feeling sorry for myself and entertaining the thoughts that invade my mind
Like bandits in the dark that wanna steal my soul
It keeps me wandering and all the darkness takes its toll
But it’s all over now
It doesn’t mean that much to me
I guess that it was meant to be
It’s all over now but the crying
