KingTru Ruth “KING” was raised on the south side of Chicago. He grew up singing in the church choir and playing both the piano and drums. At a young age he already knew he was destined for fame. He began writing and composing music and singing in famous gospel choirs to gain experience.
As a teenager and young adult, King realized that he had a unique sound and style that was craved by others. So he began to ghost write for local rising artists and built his music catalog of over 600+ songs.
In 2020, King moved his restaurant to Ohio and simply desired to write a theme song for the events he would be hosting there. He recorded the theme song “Tasty King”, and two days after it debuted at his event, his inbox was running over with requests for him to “please make an album already”.
From that point forward, the name KING was known all over the city of Columbus as the “Hitmaker”. Effortlessly writing songs and free-styling live on social media is what keeps his fans chasing after him. KING has THE SOUND the world has been waiting and begging to experience! His soulful vocals mixed with his raspy rap style will have you hooked and addicted. Keep your eyes on KING!!
