I took the time to get to know a talented artist by the name of King Alexander. This entertainer has a voice that will make the ladies swoon and the men relate. He has just released his highly anticipated single “Alone” on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, SoundCloud and other music outlets. This track is about a man who is in love with a woman that has left him, and now he Is alone. He has come to drinking and now he has been broken.

Q: How would you describe yourself as an artist?
A: I would describe my artistry as passionate, creative and free. I’ve always been a rebel, I like to do my own thing.

Q: Where are you from?
A: I was born in Guyana South America but I am Canadian grew up in Canada from Toronto.
Q: Have you done any features or written anyone’s music? If so who?
A: I am working on some features with some known artist now ( can’t say who yet). I have worked/written with Dustin Michael from the old Bad Boy boy records group (B5), written for Melanie Amaro the X factor winner, worked with Grammy winner and writer for Destiny’s Child Shanell Red. Recently I worked on a record with Grammy winner Steven Russel Harts the writer and produced who wrote take you down for Chris Brown and the Jennifer Hudson invisible album.
Q:Tell me a story about how your singing career started.
A: My singing career started I’d say about 2-3 years ago but then I gave up and just went into artist management because I didn’t believe in my own talents enough. However a long the way people kept asking me for my material and pushing me to go back to being the artist. Everyone around me said they saw the whole package in me. Finally I went through a rough time and depression and it was then I realized I owe it to myself to try and go after what I’ve dreamt about since I was 9 years old.
Q: What is your most memorable moment with music or so far in your career?
A: My most memorable moment in music so far was going on tour to Jamaica with Mindless Behavior. Being on stage when they were performing and just seeing the energy and seeing the crowd go crazy it was amazing.
Q: What is next?
A: What’s next well, I just want for people to hear my music and love my music and perform everywhere. Build my career as an artist one of the greatest to come along in a long time. I also love to write for others and I’m also interested in acting its something else that I have always wanted to do.
Q: What the best way for people to reach you for work or just to keep up?
A: Right now the best way to reach me is to follow me through social media on Instagram. I usually update it regularly and Facebook. Also a lot of my funny moments , turn up moments and personal moments happen on Snap Chat that’s where I give people a more exclusive look into who I am.
Q: Ok so we are wrapping up. Is there anything you want your audience to know that you have not already put out there?
A: I’m pretty much an open book lol. I don’t broadcast my business I do keep a lot of my personal life private, but its not hidden or anything. I’m just a good guy and I’m human and I am just trying to love life and live it to the fullest because I believe that’s what we are meant to do.
