King Chil

 Robert W. Snell, performance name King Chil’ e Rob, is a ‘strictly scripture style’ gospel rap artist. Born in Cincinnati Ohio, Robert grew up in the city of Sanford, Florida. At the age of 16, as the hype man for the rap and dance group Tetra Kru, Robert began to develop his lyrical and artistic skills performing at House Parties, Dance Offs in the parks, and Show events. At the age of 18, as a lieutenant in the street gang Alley Boys, he acquired the name Chil’ e Rob, as friends and peers perceived his character and style to be ‘chilly the most’. At the age of 26, upon realizing the street life wasn’t for him, he transformed from street rapper to gospel rapper, performing under the name King Chil’, with a current 15+ year history in the gospel arena, performing extensively in the Central Florida area. At the release of his upcoming EP, he performs under the name King Chil’ e Rob.

Since turning his life over to the Lord, King Chil’ e Rob attests that God has appointed and anointed him to penetrate the Gospel through Way of Rap. Through study, meditation, and worship, King Chil’ began to write, formulating the word of God and the scriptures into songs. Because ‘sticking with the scriptures you can’t go wrong representing the gospel’ King Chil’ says. With the release of his new single “Dancin’ 4 Jesus”, the mission is to help encourage there is joy in being saved. While Jammin’ 4 Jesus, displays praise and worship by lifting up God through way of rap. ‘If the world can jam for the devil, surely the people of God can Jam 4 Jesus,’ king Chil’ says.

In the course of his Gospel Rap ministry, King Chil’ e Rob has done feature artist performances for Gospel Recording artists such as Commission, Dorothy Norwood, Pee Wee Calling and Family, Gospel Comedians, Praise and Mime Dancers, Pastor Appreciation Services, Men’s Conferences, Night of Joy Concerts, Youth Explosions, Revivals, Retreats, and much more.

King Chil’ e Rob is currently performing at various events and sesvices, while completing his first EP including the songs “Jammin’ 4 Jesus”, “Science -n- English”, “Can’t Nobody Do Me Like Jesus”, and “Hallelujah,” with Dancin’ 4 Jesus as the first single release.
