Bio

King Cydal is an African American and El Salvadorian rapper from East Menlo Park, California. Since 2001, King Cydal has produced records for such artists as Ya Boy, San Quinn, Big Rich and J.Davinci, among others. Several of those tracks became radio hits, such as Ya Boy's "Turf To Da Club" off of Ya Boy's "Rookie of the Year" album.

In 2008, King Cydal recorded and released his first album as an artist, "Ya blocks Host," in which he produced all but two of the album's 17 songs. He then released several of his own mixtapes, beginning with Concrete Collection Volume One in the summer of 2009 and The Royal Solution in the spring of 2010. He released a video for its first single "Young, Willing & Able," which was well-received and helped increase his online Facebook and Twitter followings significantly.

In January of 2011, he released Concrete Collection Volume 2 and also released a video for the first single "A Way Out." This video received several prominent Bay Area music website features.

Much of King Cydal's current success has come from these recent mixtape releases as well as from his ever growing presence on the internet. His music videos and mixtapes are currently being featured on such websites as WeTheWest.com, Thizzler.com, TheBayIsBack.com and various others. He signed a distribution deal with Empire Distribution in July of 2011 and plans to release several projects through the remainder of 2011 and beyond.

He is representing the Bay Area to the fullest while gaining new fans everyday. His main goal is to become the next artist to bring the Bay Area back on the mainstream map and to earn the status of a Bay Area Legend.
