CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Linkletter Music School is excited with the release of King Ing’s first major release “Someone Find Me”, to platforms such as iTunes, Spotify and Apple Music.
The release date was Feb. 22, and since then, it has beyond exceeded all expectations with 300 streams on Spotify the first day. The excitement really hit on Feb. 26 when it did almost 1,100 streams on that day alone. One week since its release, it had reached over 5,000 streams on Spotify alone.
King Ing, aka Nathaniel Ing, a 17-year-old who’s still in Grade 11 at Charlottetown Rural and maintaining a 93 per cent average in his courses. He wrote, produced, engineered, mixed and mastered the song by himself in his bedroom. In the future King Ing, will be travelling to Nova Scotia to record his next release.
He began playing around with making his own music in his bedroom and with friends. He first found that he had talent when he was cast as Young Olivier in the world premiere of “Evangeline” and in “Anne of Green Gables-The Musical” at Confederation Centre of the Arts in 2013.
Since then he has been heavily involved in theatre on the Island and has been keen to learn as much as possible from the talented people he’s surrounded by. - The Guardian

King Ing aka Nathaniel Anderson Ing was born November 6th, 2001 in Kentville, Nova Scotia but was raised an Islander, in Charlottetown. Nathaniel first saw success when he was cast as Young Olivier in the World Premiere of Evangeline as well as Anne of Green Gables. Since then he has been a part of many other theatre productions and was always keen to learn from the countless talented individuals around him. He started writing his own lyrics in 2015 and was finally pushed to record by some friends in the fall of 2017. He uploaded his music to SoundCloud under the name King Ing, which saw relative success, but he really started to see success when he released his single "Someone Find Me" to all platforms including iTunes, Spotify, and Apple Music, etc. He is currently pursuing music while also being a full time student at Charlottetown Rural High School.
