Bio
‘…the overall sound is akin to being interned in a forty-gallon drum with several bricks and rolled downhill’ was one reviewers observations from a recent King Kool gig. 2005’s Roken saw the emergence of the new project from former Tribe of Dan frontman Dan Donovan, who decided to strip back his sound to a dirty, garage-inflected sound that swaggers along on distorted, grinding riffs. 2007 King Kool presented their second album 'Yeah Yeah Liberté' which was described in Moving Tone as ‘Loud, dirty, uncompromising and raw.’ December 2008 finds King Kool in the studio mixing their third album for release in May 09. Singer Dan Donovan says of the new album ‘This next bunch of tunes will be heavier still in places yet with some brooding fragile moments in others’ he continues ‘The new album will reflect a troubled yet determined mood that will bite you, caress you and make you smile.’ Pas completes the line up as the other half of King Kool offering his finesse and drive behind the kit.
