Bio

600 people standing in line at a Chicago Nightclub anxiously await entry to an impromptu concert for local Chicago Artists. As the patrons wait in line, King Louie who is a new artist on the music scene, walks straight past the long line to the front door with his entourage right behind him. He announces his presence to the bouncers and they quickly escort him to his V.I.P. section, offer him a bottle of their top shelf liquor, and rope of the entryway to his section before he takes the stage………..This is why he is King!!!!
Louis Johnson hails from the east side of Chicago which has been recently labeled as Dro City. As a child, King Louie always dreamed of being a legend at his craft but couldn’t quite visualize what he inspired to do. It wasn’t until he linked up with a friend in high school that believed he was talented and encouraged him to pursue rapping seriously. In a matter of months, he went from playful rap battles in the school cafeteria to performing on stages in front of massive crowds of people. Things were looking up for King Louie as he began gaining a buzz and a fan base.
Spring is usually considered a time of happiness because it is the introduction to summer. King Louie did not get a chance to enjoy March of 2009 because he was hit by a speeding car that left him for dead. With numerous broken bones, missing teeth and on and off consciousness, he laid in his hospital bed wondering if he would ever recover from such a devastating tragedy. Thanks to prayers from family and friends, King Louie was back in the booth recording songs and performing at shows. He refused to let any roadblocks stop him on his journey to success.
Being mentioned as one of the best if not “Thee” best rappers is a goal King Louie strives for every day. When he writes a verse, he thinks back on situations that he has faced and brings it to life to make any person of any age group or nationality understand his lyrics. He loves to have an influence on people and he is blessed with the ability to mentor and motivate people with his music. The motto he lives by is Success, growth and development and he wouldn’t have it any other way.
