Bio
(Modo Latin- Adverb: now/presently)
King Modo, was born after the recording of their debut album. With minimal recording equipment and finances- they set up in donated office space in a business park in Kildare. The album represents the efforts of Rubber Keogh, and Lenny Cahill- two musicians and best friends taking their first leap into recording.
The resulting album- simply titled King Modo weeps Spiritual, and political lyrical content, carried melodically over odd metered acoustic guitar driven riffs. King modo borrow elements of Rock, Jazz, and traditional music over the course of the album to identify its original, and left of centre sound.
Since the launch of the album, a self promoted event in finlays car showroom in Newbridge town, in the Summer of 2010, the band have featured numerous times in the media, and impressed audiences with live performances in venues and festivals.
(such as the Charleville Castle Burning Man 2010 festival)
The live band consists of four extra professional musicians, each equally as passionate about the album as its creators, and all together capable of producing a massive, justifying sound.
King modo represents real music .Making the spiritual relevant again- in a contemporary, and meditative way. Lyricist Rubber Keogh explains I had to write about something that would always affect me, always mean something to me I could not write about some romantic shit everyone sings about.
