Contemporary Hip-Hop artist King Nostic, born Darren Gosberry, grew up on the west side of Chicago, Illinois and started writing lyrics at a young age. He took music very seriously in high school after setting up a home recording studio in the basement of his mother’s house. Through a period of attending college classes and working part time jobs, he continued to develop his talent. Spending countless hours in his home studio he began producing, recording, and engineering his own music. Beginning with his debut Common ERA, King Nostic stood tall amongst some of Chicago’s best. Known for his freestyle capability, Nostic would travel around the city entering any cypher to prove himself against anyone who questioned his lyrical prowess. Nostic delivers a unique perspective while staying true to his background and lifestyle. Nostic has a deep-rooted background in hip-hop. His sharp lyrics and countless flows have been respected by his musical peers for years. King Nostic is not only a skilled M.C., but also a serious business man. In 2006 King Nostic founded REPNATION MUSIC GROUP, an independent American record label. Since, the label has released multiple mix-tapes as well as albums.
