Brighton based King Porter Stomp deliver a unique union of upbeat ska, dub and conscious hip hop. Over the past 4 years they’ve brought their soaring horn lines, world rhythms and socially connected rhymes to venues and major festival stages Europe wide. Renowned for their eclectic and energetic live shows, the seven piece are currently planning the release of their eagerly anticipated second album in the summer of 2012.
2011 has seen King Porter Stomp’s public profile raised significantly with a commision from Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London to co-write and perform the music for a brand new contemporary production which ran throughout August and September. With superb major press reviews, King Porter Stomp made their music accessible to brand new audiences. With a 14 date UK tour in the Autumn and the recent video of their brand new single ‘Let It All Out’ quickly gaining over 10,000 views, King Porter Stomp have laid strong foundations for a highly successful 2012
