Bio

Formed in October 2003, the four members of the hard rock band KINGSCASTLE came together after their mutual friend and manager Bill Hart introduced them to each other after some old demos were passed around. Songs were immediately written, and KINGSCASTLE’s sound was born- a mixture of high energy drum grooves, pulsing bass, aggressive dual guitar licks, edgy melodic vocals, and introspective lyrics. Their sound is unique yet familiar, blending guitar solos with rhythm heavy frenzy around a melodic center. Influences include Led Zeppelin, Tool, Alice in Chains, Pink Floyd, Sublime and Guns n Roses.
After only two and a half months of rehearsal, KINGSCASTLE was invited to be on 15 Minutes of Fame on 103.9 THE EDGE, where they were the first band to perform two live acoustic numbers. Delivering a flawless performance, they have been invited back again by the station.
KINGSCASTLE has worked tirelessly to build a buzz by playing all the Albany clubs such as Northern Lights, Valentines, Savannah’s, as well as NYC venues like Acme Underground and the legendary CBGB’s. They have also played in and around the tri-state and have continued to improve their live performance by adding extended improve guitar and drum solos, an array of cover material, and binge drinking to the set list.
In March KINGSCASTLE cut a five song demo, but decided it sounded good enough to sell to their fans as an EP called “Breathing Patterns”. They chose five songs that showcased their trademark groove heavy energy as well as their versatility. Due to their success on The EDGE, FYE has offered to stock the “Breathing Patterns” EP on their shelves.
After being together for eight months, KINGSCASTLE have garnered attention from a major label, as well as a spot in local scenes in Albany and NYC.
KINGSCASTLE has big plans for the future-label showcases, a college tour for the fall, another studio venture as early as this winter where they will build upon their previous recordings and add some songs previously unreleased for a full length album, more radio spots, a video, website updates, photo shoots, t-shirts and posters, binge drinking, and pounding the local scenes in Albany and NYC nonstop with their hard hitting live shows. Come see what the buzz is all about!!
