"Misc. reviews of our first album (under the name Fast Gallows) from the Danish press"

”Awesome catchy rock’n’roll just like mom made it – if mom’s name was Angus Young, that is…” (...) ”Played with a weight, a determination, a nerve, a presence that is completely un-Danish.” (...) ”Several of the songs clearly has chartbuster-potential (…) more contagious than bird-flu in Duckville.”

Steffen Jungersen, BT(5 af 6 stjerner)

”Marshall-lord Almighty – what a debut from Danish Fast Gallows!” (...) ”Furious high octane hardrock – the kind that God must have had in mind the day he invented the electric guitar.” (...) ”Debutants with a melodic edge most band would kill to possess.”
”The songs on ”High on the Mainline” are 11 direct left hooks to the jaw of all the contemplative winy rock favored by record companies these days.” (...) ”A slopping wet rock’n’roll kiss that speaks more to regions below the belt than it does to reason.”

Henning Grau, Nordjyske Stiftstidende (5 af 6 stjerner)

”Fans of AC/DC, The Cult, Hellacopters and Monster Magnet can safely hitch a ride from this band – but for God’s sake: buckle up!”

Keld Rud, Gaffa (4 af 6 stjerner)

”Music for slightly drunk mannish people (tattoos not a problem) who love to play air guitar, while sentimentally looking at each other and with infantile joy shouting out “rock’n’roll” like some sort of universal mantra.”

Klaus Lynggard, Information

”This excellent debut album makes the listener want to down a bottle of Jack and toss a TV-set out the window.”

FHM (5 af 6 stjerner)

”Listening to Fast Gallows for the first time makes you wonder why you have never heard them before – or rather heard about them.”

Lasse Tonnesen, Frantic Sound Magazine (5 af 6 stjerner)
- The Danish Press

Bio

Up until this fall these five guys have been known by the name Fast Gallows.

But spurred by a demand from mighty Warner Music the band found themselves forced to change this…

While negotiating with a British record label it became clear that Warner would not allow any band to release anything under a name containing the word “Gallows”.

The new name Kings in Exile is celebrated with a release of a thirteen track full blown rock album! And as symbolic evidence that this band does not look back (in anger) the album bears the title “Here’s to the Future”. Behold a new beginning!

Furthermore “Here’s to the Future” cements that this band moves at a hundred miles per hour. It is not a hard sequel to their critically acclaimed debut “High on the Mainline” – it is top down pedal to the metal continuation of their furious rock’n’roll.

Musically Kings in Exile is still inspired by all the best from the history of rock – but first and foremost it catches your ears and the rest of your body and makes you wanna scream along right from the get go.

So far the band has played shows in Denmark, Germany and England. Following the release, they swear to return to every venue they have ever played at - as well as some new ones.

Rasmus, Mikkel, Dennis, Niels & Micha – aka Kings in Exile – is back! Now let’s ROCK!!!
