King’s Bio

King, born Theodore Perryman from Cincinnati Ohio and raised here in the city of Detroit. Has just stepped on the scene as one of Detroit’s most versatile forces in the gospel industry. With ministry on mind and mic in hand. He has shown himself be to be just that a King by all rights. After many years of rebellion against God, his mother, and the authorities, he finally gave his life to Christ at the age of 23. Under the leadership of Bishop Alfred Knight, Power of The Word Ministries. King went through an uncompromising training and discipleship as the armour bearer for Bishop Knight.
One day while at his place of employment, a young lady approached him and said that she was the greatest female rapper alive, and asked him what he knew about thug love and if he knew how to rap. King decided to write a rap that night for her called “Love Is Life”. The young lady and her whole family loved it! Then he wrote "The Last Days" and they loved that too! King began to see his talent and recognize that he had a call on his life. He has performed at his home church and other churches throughout the city of Detroit.
King’s mandate is to convey a message and impact this generation. While remaining completely scriptural, King delivers remarkable lyrical capabilities that are combined with energetic flare and biblically sound concepts. King says “I realize the anointing on my life, and the gifts God has given me. And I also understand that this is a ministry of music and that I'm rapping for the glory of God”. Boldly, Unashamed, and unadulterated the only way he knows how.
King’s up and coming CD is entitled “Eyes Have Not Seen Ears Have Not heard”. It will be released the summer or fall of 2009.
