The “Kings of Harmony” is an east coast Gospel Quartet Group, based in Washington, DC that has been traveling and singing for the Lord since 1969. Under the esteemed leadership of Louis Tucker, Sr. the group has ministered on several platforms. From 1969 until 1993, the group consisted of Louis Tucker, Sr. and his brothers.
Stepping out on faith, Louis Tucker, Sr. and son, Louis Tucker, Jr., decided to reestablish the Kings of Harmony, so during the winter of 1998, the group’s membership was reconstructed and the Kings of Harmony took on a new image. While the faces have changed over the years, the purpose has not. The heart of this quartet group in 2011 is the same as it was when it originated in 1969; to be led by the Holy Spirit, and to share the love of Jesus Christ through song and testimony.
With their distinctive Gospel sound, performing to enthusiastic audiences of all ages, the Kings of Harmony have ministered via television, radio and live performances to include; community events, family reunions, retirement homes, high school productions, charity functions and church events. Ministering on platforms such as these, help the Kings of Harmony remain focused and grounded on the work of the Lord.
The Kings of Harmony are definitely a product of ‘old school’ Gospel music; invoking sounds of hands clapping and foot-stomping on a wood floor are trademark of the seasoned gospel quartet group. The group was recently represented at the Gospel Showcase in Birmingham, Alabama
The Kings of Harmony put their heart and soul into their music which is a direct copulation of their reverence, love and dedication to the Lord. “To every thing there is a season, and a time for every purpose under the heaven” Ecclesiastes 3:1 (KJV), and for the Kings of Harmony, this is their time and season.
We are grateful that God continues to bless our group so that we are able to perform at HIS standards, healing and delivering souls on HIS behalf so that the captives may be set free. For we know that there is NOTHING too hard for God and with HIM all things are possible. We thank you for your encouragement and support of the Kings of Harmony, and pray God’s blessing upon you continually.
