Bio
The 5 piece band was formed in September 2005 as one shot performance of local musicians, led by Jessica Forman for a Hurricane Katrina Benefit at SUNY Stony Brook. The band gathered for a few rehearsals before the show.
In March of 2007, James Guerin (guitars), Jessica Forman (bass), and Erica Rocks (drums) who formed the original group got together again, and got serious about reviving alternative rock music. Playing out of basement for months, Kinky Porcupine began gigging by the end of that summer.
The band was in high demand for various charity and peace benefit shows, as well as regular gigs at Da Funky Phish in Bay Shore and other great venues such as McCoy's, Cafe Bada Bing, Traxx Lounge.
The band also played this year's 20th Anniversary Be-In Festival at Patchouge's Shorefront Park.
