In 2011, after various solo projects, P. Ori began disucovering new sounds. These new sounds excited and inspired him-thus, KinZie was born. With the help of collaborators such as Ash the Slasher and Lester Nuby, these new sounds were combined in We Were Limited, But We'll Make Do. Through word-of-mouth and social media, KinZie began to gain support. The next EP, We Live. We Die., was a total change of direction. It included ambient sounds with shoegaze undertones and shared thoughts regarding life and death. This radical shift in style would be a common theme in future projects.
KinZie takes their third EP Brute (Junior Brother Recording Studio) and reveals a new perspective towards friendship, personal decisions, and consequences. Brute also explores the complicated relationship we have with places we call home. They challenge listeners to revel in the sounds of the unconventional and continue to create sensible sounds that highlight their variety.
