Bio
She wasn't born in some small town where everyone knows everyone else's name.
She didn't grow up listening to Hank, Johnny or Merle.
When Kira Annalise heard country music for the first time, it changed her life.
"I heard Willie Heath Neal play Hung it Up by Junior Brown at some dive bar in Marietta, GA and I was just blown away. I went home, learned 3 chords on the guitar and started writing songs- then I just kind of kept doing it."
Fast Forward nine years later and Kira is putting out her first full length album chock-full of heartaches, bad intentions and even a song she wrote with her daughter about their Home Owners Association (I'll give you a hint, they aren't fans of the HOA).
Kira's album, The Damsel, blends that old country sound with modern elements and creates something that is unexpectedly powerful.
"I set out to find my own sound with this album and I really think we did it this time, lets hope everyone else loves it as much as I do"
