Kirsten

Kirsten is a talented singer who has made her home in the valley for over 20 years. An Iowa native, Kirsten grew up with a music teacher father and a mother with an equal passion for the arts. Nearly every day after elementary school Kirsten could be found sitting alongside her parents at the piano. The seeds of a music filled life were planted early. Kirsten discovered her own voice and passion for music while listening to the recordings of Nat King Cole, Judy Garland and George Gershwin.

In junior high school Kirsten formed a band with friends. That group named “Aspen” had a regular stint at a Chinese restaurant for a couple years. Who would have thought that you could combine Mongolian barbecue and 14 year old kids playing everything from Little River Band to Billie Holiday!

Kirsten continued her musical career after high school and it would eventually lead her to the valley where the jazz scene was thriving! Over the years Kirsten has developed a loyal following with the same love for the great American songwriters such as Cole Porter and George Gershwin. By mixing in the music of Lady Gaga, Carole King, The Pretenders other pop music icons Kirsten has been able to appeal to a much wider audience.
In addition to performing at restaurants and nightclubs, Kirsten has also sung the National Anthem in recent years for the Arizona Diamondbacks and Phoenix Suns. With so many songs still to be sung, Kirsten is looking forward to where her music will take her next!
