"Kirsten...with a Twist"

Kirsten Price has the pipes of Janis Joplin and a truly electrifying stage
presence
- Dulci Pitagora - GO NYC

"Especially for Women..."

Once you hear - and see - the talented Kirsten Price, you will never forget her - guaranteed.
- Matt Kailey - Out Front Colorado

"Kirsten Sounds Like..."

This British soul singer sounds kinda like Joss Stone combined with K.T. Tunstall - and that's a good thing.
- Malinda Lo - AfterEllen.com

"Moving Forward..."

Kirsten has sculpted her material into a melting pot firmly based in (but transcending) old school soul. Bridging the gap between Mussel Shoals Alabama circa 1960's and 21st century Fort Greene Brooklyn with a fresh, unique yet timeless sound, the only label you can stick on this one is... "Kirsten Price." - Stand Out

"Down 'n' Dirty..."

The set kicks off with the down 'n' dirty and seriously infectious "Magic Tree" from Kirsten Price. This one writhes and slinks and grooves with a hot-breath sensuality, sort of like Fiona Apple frontin' The Pussycat Dolls. - IN Magazine

Bio

Blending old school soul, classical compositional chops, and 21st century technology, Kirsten Price extends the British tradition of re-interpreting American soul music in a fresh, innovative way. With the release of her debut album, Guts & Garbage, Kirsten hits the road in 2008. Prior to its’ release, her metaphoric and irresistibly catchy signature song, “Magic Tree,” was featured as the lead track on the L Tunes: Music From And Inspired By THE L WORD compilation album, while a video for "Magic Tree" aired exclusively on Showtime to promote season 4 of "The L Word." Magic Tree has also appeared in the hit television series, CSI, and was most recently heard in the premier of the new ABC series, Cashmere Mafia.

In early 2007, Kirsten found a kindred spirit in producer Fred Sargolini (MING+FS, Kool Keith, Susan Vega, "Sex & the City," "CSI: NY," “Entourage”), and laid down the songs -- including "Magic Tree" -- that form the core of Guts & Garbage. Working with Raphael Saadiq (D'Angelo, Joss Stone, Whitney Houston, Mary J. Blige, The Roots, Snoop Dogg) and Danny Saber (Madonna, Seal, David Bowie, The Rolling Stones), Kirsten rounded out the remainder of the album. So prepare yourselves. With a voice that pulls you in, and an attitude that threatens to spit you out, you’ll be glad you came along for the ride.
