ARTIST BIO

"KIS.B" (born Kisi Fonua) is a music artist, hailing from the streets of Rose Park, Salt Lake City, UT. He has made an impact on his city streets with his music in a way that changed his life!! Coming from a lifestyle of trouble & confusion, he has turned his life around, and with the life lessons he's learned, he has been able to grasp at his art with a demeanor that pulls you in from the start.

He performed in 20+ shows in 2009, with one thought in his head. "It is hard not to see you when you're doing the most anywhere & everywhere in the scene." With the release of his 1st project, The "K.BARBER" mix tape, in Aug. of 2009, he was able to draw in many listeners with his stunning and cunning delivery, and his attitude of "THIS IS WHAT IT IS!! "

At the end of 2009, Tonga Kid (an honorary and explosive producer amongst the people in Salt Lake City) picked up on KIS.B (formerly known as K.Barber), and together they joined & formed BOOMBOXX MUSIC. He continued to release tracks that moved the streets in his city. Many people could relate, which is why in March of 2010 when he released his EP project "THE CURSE", he became such a local sensation. With opening performances for the big UTAH radio station "U92" shows like U92's ST. PATTYs BASH, and U92's SUMMER JAM, and opening performances in the big venues like The Gallivan Center, The Depot, and Harry O's for big name artists such as Maino, Rev Run, Nas, WC, Ice Cube, and Snoop Dogg, he was able to take his name and music to a whole new level.

Recently meeting with Stuart Tua, and B-Side of GLR, KIS.B merged BOOMBOXX MUSIC with GREENLIGHT RECORDs, and with that move, he has instantly caught more attention of the people in his city, along with many in surrounding states. He is now working on his debut album "KILL THE LIGHTs", which is projected to be released under GREENLIGHT RECORDs this Spring/Winter of 2011, He also continues to work with his BOOMBOXX MUSIC team on growing and turning their music up a notch. He will be touring this Spring with BOOMBOXX/GREENLIGHT on a self promo "GONE TIL' NOVEMBER" tour across the West. Keep your ears tuned to the streets!
