Formed in the fall of 2006, Kiss the Messenger worked diligently for over a year in their Toronto studio writing dozens of songs, and honing their sound before exploding onto the Toronto electronic scene. Founded by Royal Conservatory-trained musician Matthew J. Wright, a self-described "synth-nut," this duo pushes you further and further into the future while still keeping your feet planted firmly on a nineteen-eighties dance floor. The face of Kiss the Messenger is Jaclyn Kaye, a singer whose powerful voice can make you fall in love, fall over, or fall asleep at her will. Jaclyn's emotionally charged lyrics ride melodies impossible to forget. Electron-fuelled dance beats lay the bed for this duo's unique blend of music and exposed hearts.
