Having recently toured Europe with The Wombats in Sept/Oct 08, filmed on the teenage set of Neighbours at “Charlies Bar” (due for broadcast in Feb09), and currently working on their highly anticipated debut album due for release mid 2009, Kitchen Knife Wife have come along way in a very short period of time.
Adopting their band name from the title of a song they wrote about a deranged psychopathic housewife who murders strangers with a kitchen knife before scuttling home for tea, Paul Luczak, Bernard Czaplinski (ex. The Sticks) have joined forces with David Mudie (Canon) and James Fleming (keys extraordinaire) to create music that has best been described as a tasteful mix of styles and sounds ranging from Honky Tonk, pop rock, disco to electro.
