Kites Of Iona
are a fantastic newly created Rock band. Their sound is eclectic and electric and they have the fantastic backing of Norn Iron Music
Management. Their musical talents are endless and there is no limit to
their wonderful composition and music writing skills.
Kites Of Iona formed in late 2006 with Gerard O' Doherty(guitars) Christy
Fleming(Bass) Steven Mc Cool(Vocals) and Chris Towe (drums). The band
began working on original material from the offset.Working towards a
progressive rock sound with a lot of melody.With a strong batch of
songs the band decided to record their first E.P. So from the practice
room to the studio with gigs to follow. Kites Of Iona booked into the Manor
Park studios and began working with the excellent producer Neal
Calderwood.With the E.P complete Kites Of Iona began writing more material and
have been playing the local pub scene with plans on playing furter a
field.
