Biography

Art in pretentious bad taste: thats what kitsch means and thats what KITSCH does. An extravagant combination of pop melodies, funky riffs, groovy bass and rocking drums, blended with the essential elements and soundscapes stolen from the dance culture makes KITSCH quite different from your typical favourite pop rock band, yet eventually that's what its meant to become! KITSCH started out as a solo project by Edo Faiella. A Berklee College Of Music Alumnus and former guitarist in Boston-based bands Orbiting Riley and Dynamo Hum, after graduating, Edo went back to Italy, his homeland, where he began incorporating his passion for dance music and music technology into his pop rock songwriting. As the project got more and more intense with a constantly growing number of songs, it needed a bigger house than Italy. So Edo, after enrolling Mario di Napoli, his friend and drummer from one of his former italian bands, Poptarts, and after recording a 7 track album in Naples, "the MirrorBall Ep", took Kitsch to the world capital city of pop rock and dance music, London. Here, while working on the completion of a potential first full lenght album, Edo and Mario are searching for the perfect basser to complete the line up and take the project around the globe. Come along and let the longest journey begin!

Burning in the Rain

Written By: Edo Faiella

BURNING IN THE RAIN

There are signs
Across the line
Traced between my space and time
It’s gettin’ late
See you soon
I’ll be waiting on the moon
It’s ok
I’m all right
Lowly higher than last night
Nothing’s right
Nothing’s wrong
Nothing seems too strange as long as

I…I’m burning in the rain
I…I wanna dance with you

Time’s so slow
But you’ve grown old
I’m on fire but you’re so cold
Close your eyes
So I can’t see
If someone’s tryin’ to rescue me
It’s alright
I’m ok
Just as high as every day
You’re so wrong
But I’m not right
Open up and grab the night for

I…I’m burning in the rain
I…I wanna dance with you

It’s alright
I’m ok
Just as high as every day
Nothing’s right
Nothing’s wrong
Nothing seems too strange as long as I…

I…I’m burning in the rain
I…I wanna dance with you

Guilty Lover

Written By: Edo Faiella

GUILTY LOVER

Is it over
Or has it yet to begin?
Precious moments
Drowning into the rain
You stole a part of me
And I’m trying to take it back
The night is over
Yet time’s enough to make mistakes

Dust your memories
You don’t have to look away
Won’t you let me in
And tell me things you shouldn’t say?
You stole a part of me
And it’s late to take it back
The night is over
There’s still some time to make mistakes

Hold me…It’s all I ask before you go
Hold me…Don’t be afraid to let go
Hold me…It’s all I ask before you go
Hold me…Tonight’s the night to let go

Is it over?
The fate is painted in the night
Guilty lover
Where’s the guilt in what you hide?
You stole a part of me
Can’t you see it belongs to you?
The night is over
There’s always time to make mistakes

Hold me…It’s all I ask before you go
Hold me…Don’t be afraid to let go
Hold me…It’s all I ask before you go
Hold me…Tonight’s the night to let go

If the Night Was a Place

Written By: Edo Faiella

If the Night Was a Place

See the twilight fading out
But I can’t hear what I say
I feel I’m lost again
My world has turned into a bottle
Through the glass I’ll see
Your cross…my hideaway

Trust me, I’m a liar
Don’t feed my desire
Trust me, I’m a liar
Don’t speak, take me higher

But if the night was a place
In the heart of your grace
If I could, baby I’d take you there
And if my eyes are not tearing
It’s because I was dreaming
That the world where we’re living
Is not true…It’s not true

Now the silence has grown loud
Still can’t hear what I say
You stole my thoughts again
But when the sunlight comes around
I’ll pretend I’ve found
A space to break away

But if the night was a place
In the heart of your grace
If I could, baby I’d take you there
And if my eyes are not tearing
It’s because I was dreaming
That the world where we’re living
Is not true…

Trust me, I’m a liar
Don’t speak, take me higher

‘Cause if the night was a place
In the heart of your grace
If I could, you know I’d take you there
And if my eyes are not tearing
That’s because I was dreaming
That the world where we’re leaving
Is not true…
Yeah if the night was a place
In the heart of your grace
If I could, baby I’d take you there
And if my eyes are not tearing
It’s because I was dreaming
That the world where we’re living
Is not true…
