"Kitty Kat Dirt Nap"

“Philadelphia’s very own cutesy version of Reggie and the Full Effect… upbeat pop-punk with dueling male-female vocals and a healthy dose of Moog action.” - Alternative Press

"Kitty Kat Dirt Nap"

“In the feline-hating, irony-adoring universe of Philly five-piece Kitty Kat Dirt Nap, chugging, crunchy hooks collide with the sweet-turned-sour vocal pairing of guitarist Adam Eckhoff and keyboardist Robyn Montella at every turn. Knotty and propulsive, the songs are equally ideal for hip- shaking or fist-pumping. And while Eckhoff's singing--and sometimes screaming--is awfully earnest, the band seems obsessed with pun-happy, referential song titles, from "Mini-Van (Halen)" to "(Getting Caught Enjoying) Phil Collins.” - The Philadelphia Weekly

"Kitty Kat Dirt Nap"

“Kitty Kat Dirt Nap is no joke. Let's call this West Philly/Bucks County five-piece eccentric. Their second CD, I Am A Robot, I Am Talking Like A Robot, I Am A Robot (Wonka Vision), is an emo-pop hurricane. Everything's all bop-like-a-Muppet peppy and charming, with catchy keyboard hooks, boy-girl harmonies and lyrics about bliss and frustration. And damn if "Getting Caught Enjoying Phil Collins" doesn't crib the chorus from "Sussudio." You can laugh, but it's no joke.” - Philadelphia City Paper

"Kitty Kat Dirt Nap"

“Fans of keyboard-heavy power pop get in line. There are tons of keyboards and sticky-sweet melodies coupled with a punky attitude… This is good music to really kick back to and get happy with – definitely good driving music, with plenty of energy and hooks that get you singing in seconds.” - Impact Press

"Kitty Kat Dirt Nap"

“Kitty Kat Dirt Nap smacks the notion of mopey-assed emo kids around like Ron Artest thugging out on hapless Pistons fans… after about 17 zillion emo records, Kitty Kat Dirt Nap still sounds relatively fresh.” - Aversion

Bio

Amid Philadelphia's eclectic music scene, the synth-pop of Kitty Kat Dirt Nap rocks with humor and pathos. The five piece is made up of Adam Eckhoff (guitar/vocals), Ernie Pester (guitar), Tom Bilotta (bass), Ben Wawro (drums), and Jaclyn Bjork (synth/vocals). The band spent two years cutting their teeth playing with Reggie and the Full Effect, OKGO!, and Dressy Bessy, culminating with their first full length release, "I Am A Robot. I Am Talking Like A Robot. I Am A Robot," in 2004. Alternating between cute and crunchy with male and female vocals, the Dirt Nap was quickly described as, "synth-pop with teeth!"

With the new album behind them, the Dirt Nap continued to play shows along the East Coast, picking up legions of fist pumping, rump shaking kids along the way. And if sponsorships are any indicator, Daisy Rock guitars and Amp Energy drink are shaking their booties to the Dirt Nap. Daisy Rock found Kitty Kat Dirt Nap to be the perfect showcase for their heart-shaped basses, while Amp Energy Drink recently recorded a CD sampler featuring the Dirt Nap for distribution to radio stations across the US. In addition, the band is soon to be included on SourPop Records compilation "Unite!" featuring bands such as Hot Water Music and Yellowcard.

"I Am A Robot. I Am Talking Like A Robot. I Am A Robot" was recently released in Japan with exclusive bonus tracks!
