Bio

Kiyamma born and raised in a hood near you. He brings the message that regardless of location or attire, you can still worship God. He bridges the gap from congregation to corner, from the club to the church. Giving the streets a shot in the arm of forgiveness, hope, and promise, his messages of worship will take you out of the church pews on Sunday morning praise that we are accustomed. A new form of soul searching is poised to begin, with Kiyamma leading the way.

Born Dec, 12 1976 in Newark, New Jersey Kiyamma showed promise early. While attending St Paul's Sound of Praise Ministries, churchgoers took notice of his musical gifts and labeled him a child phenomenon. There he got his foundation for music and met his long time mentor Melonie Daniels. Kiyamma’s influences stem from a petite but prestigious list of musical greats including Stevie Wonder, Donny Hathaway, and a host of others who have all contributed to the talents of this soulful messenger.

Indoctrinated heavily with music industry standards by record giant EMI’s Kirk Brunson, Kiyamma wrote his first song "Every Little Thing You Do" for Christopher Williams at 14. He also was a member of the singing group OneII3 under EMI. With an extensive musical background he is the man behind the sound for industry giants Mary J. Blige’s “No Happy Holidays”, Faith Evans’ “All This Love” and Shanice Wilson’s “Somewhere” just to name a few.

Deciding now to work on his own project Kiyamma has independently released The Urban/R&B Gospel Album, "U Gave Me Back My Soul." His goal is to reach the masses, not just the churchgoers, but also the Hip-Hop listeners, the rock listeners, the R & B listeners as well as the drug dealers and the youth in the streets. Kiyamma’s ministry will spread out far and wide with the message of forgiveness and reconciliation making everyone sing the Lords highest praise.

With a much needed change from the mainstream over-saturated “Bling Bling” or “Gangster” attitude that glorifies pain, misery and misfortune, Kiyamma brings back to music the focus love of self and the love of God. “U Gave Me Back My Soul” promises to show you the truth, the light and so much more…….
