"Album review: Klangkarussell – Netzwerk (Falls Like Rain)"

by: Jim Carroll

Thanks to the gloriously hypnotic Sonnentanz and how it snared many different audiences on the back of a few different releases and versions, Tobias Rieser and Adrian Held enjoyed a dancefloor smash and all that came with it. The trick for the Austrian duo on their debut album Netzwerk is to come up with a couple of other tracks capable of doing the same thing, which will also ensure that they’re not totally reliant on their trump card. The title track is the closest they come to hitting the same high mark, with the Salif Keita samples creating a slinky mood-board for what they have in mind. Elsewhere, though, there’s the strong sense of an act trying many different things for size from house to drum ’n’ bass in an effort to find the elusive formula, but nothing quite rings true in the same way. Guess they’re going to have to rely on synch fees from Sonnentanz to pay the bills for a while longer. klangkarussell.com Download: Sonnentanz - Irish Times

"REVIEW: Klangkarussell - Netzwerk (Falls Like Rain) incl music video out on Vertigo / Universal Music"

Spring showed up its charming side in the last few weeks. The appropriate time for the return of Klang Karussell with their new single Netzwerk ( Falls Like Rain )", which will see the light of day on May 9.

With their flair for melodic extravagance and matching soul elements , Adrian Held and Tobias Rieser present the successor single after the mega success of their debut single Sonnentanz, which sold over 1.2 million copies worldwide. Their new single within a very short time seems to find significant
'appeal '. The instrumental version was clicked on YouTube a long time ago about a million times and all eyes have since focused on the newly produced vocal track.

Klang Karussell are leaving room for vocal brilliance on their new single that they already demonstrated impressively with the Sonnentanz collaboration (Sun Do not Shine) feat. Will Heard . "Network ( Falls Like Rain ) " certainly contributes the same handwriting and ties seamlessly with the producer qualities. The single is an equally atmospherical , as well as danceable summer anthem that gives our rhythm a little extra forward momentum.

"Network ( Falls Like Rain ) " is a detached crossover of guitars and banjo sounds, African vocal segments and synthetic Beat - Waves . Klang Karussell debut album called Netzwerk will be out 25th of July.

Dimitri Kechagias review: The beloved Klangkarussell responsible for the mega global anthem Sonnentanz return with another super beautiful track called Netzwerk. The original version is a magnificent deep tech house beauty that will carry you away for a nice relaxing calming sweet journey. Excellent tribal beats, brilliant percussion, country music style guitar riffs, cinematic strings and the nice twist on it is the appearance of the well known African chants that have been used again in the past in dance tracks but on this track sound really in place and with purpose too. The result is a modern futuristic warm, sunny, and hypnotic production that calms your senses and manage easily to make you feel relaxed and totally free to enjoy the danceable rhythm and irresistibly engaging groove that invite you to dance the summer days and nights away. The brand new vocal version is called Falls Like Rain and the vocal added is very attractive for the ear as it sounds quite retro, romantic and totally intoxicated. Ten Ven remix is the more bouncy chunky bass focused version with guitar licks and moody haunting basslines combined beautifully with the synths and cinematic strings along with the fantastic vocal and plenty of subbass as well. Storming remix that is underground and equally magical as the original version for eclectic ears! Camo & Krooked Remix is a very beautiful chill out experimental version that goes back to the basics with minimal beats, break beats, guitar riffs and excellent application of the original vocals. It will make you feel like liquid and absolutely haunted from it. Adam Freeland Remix moves on the forward thinking indie dance / electronic sound with 80's Depeche Mode / New Order electro pop sensibilities. From the original track he uses only the chorus of the vocals and he builds his trancy energetic pulsating pure bliss for electronic music fans version that will get many plays this summer. It's one of those tracks that you wish strongly to get immediately transferred on the seashore for beach party and night swimming. #PureGold Love iT

"Klangkarussell ft. Will Heard: 'Sonnentanz' - Single review"

Released on Friday, Aug 16 2013

Klangkarussell, Will Heard 'Sonnentanz'
It's no secret that the freshest and most exciting dance tracks often take their time escaping the cliquey hub of Europe's party islands before they are set free and allowed to migrate over to the UK. The latest to wash up on our shores? Austrian duo Klangkarussell, whose track 'Sonnentanz' became a fave across the Balearics in its instrumental form last year.

Naturally, it's been compacted into a more radio-friendly length and had lyrics laid over the top courtesy of 21-year-old newbie Will Heard, who also provides the impressively on-trend tortured soul vocal. Thankfully, none of this takes away from the wonderfully hypnotic production that provides a gentle comedown from summer we so sorely need.

They have fallen in the same realm as Duke Dumont, Kidnap Kid and Route 94, not to mention their love of soul which includes influences by Martin Gaye and Otis Redding. Klangkarussell’s dance floor melodies migrate between variations of electro, house and drum & bass tunes.
