I am a musician from Detroit, Michigan and have recently moved to Nashville. I have been writing songs since I was in high school, and I am influenced by many different genres and artists. Although I consider my song country, I tend to incorporate the characteristics of Motown music and standard styles, like those of Cole Porter and Ira Gershwin.

HE WONT HAVE TO MISS HER

Written By: KLARE ESSAD

HE SEES HER EVERY TIME HE CLOSES HIS EYES
AWAKES TO THE SAME BREAKFAST- SAME DEMISE
AND HE FEELS ALL THE COBWEBS LYING INSIDE
SO AGAIN HE’LL CLOSE HIS EYES

HE COUNTS EVERY MINUTE, EVERY HOUR
EVERY SECOND HE LIVED WITHOUT HER
AT NIGHT HE THINKS OF THE ONLY ONE HE’S ADORED
AS THE CLOCK TICKS- HIS HEART GROWS SOUR
MEMORIES WILT LIKE DYING FLOWERS
AND THE ONLY THING HE HAS TO LOOK FOR
IS THAT ONE DAY- HE WONT MISS HER ANYMORE

THERE’S A PICTURE OF HER HOLDING BABIES NEXT TO HIS BED,
BUT WHEN IT RAINS THE SIRENS, STILL SCREAM ON IN HIS HEAD
HE ALWAYS GOES BACK IN TIME
TO THE NIGHT SHE TOOK THAT AMBULANCE RIDE
AND HE HOPES WITH SHALLOW BREATHES—HE CAN SEE HER TONIGHT

HE COUNTS EVERY MINUTE, EVERY HOUR
EVERY SECOND HE LIVED WITHOUT HER
AT NIGHT HE THINKS OF THE ONLY ONE HE’S ADORED
AS THE CLOCK TICKS- HIS HEART GROWS SOUR
MEMORIES WILT LIKE DYING FLOWERS
AND THE ONLY THING HE HAS TO LOOK FOR
IS THAT ONE DAY- HE WON’T MISS HER ANYMORE

WITH A SMILE THEY’VE NEVER SEEN BEFORE
HE HEARS A FLAT LINE FROM THE MONITOR
SQUEAKING SHOES ALONG THE HOSPITAL FLOOR
AND HE KNOWS THAT HE WON’T HAVE TO MISS HER ANYMORE

HE’S BEEN COUNTING THE MINUTES, THE HOURS
EVERY SECOND HE’S BEEN WITHOUT HER
SHE WAS THE ONLY PERSON HE’S EVER ADORED
AND THE ONLY THING THAT’S EVER GOTTEN HIM THROUGH
IS THE ONE DAY HE WON’T HAVE TO MISS HER ANYMORE

Right Now

Right Now
Klare Essad

I bet right now
My dad’s on the couch
Flip through the channels for an hour before he sleeps tight
I bet right now
The rain is pouring down
The Tennessee heat got the best of the clouds tonight

While I’m counting highway lights
Passing every waffle house
Every population sign of every little town
Heading to our next show
In this sleepy van
Running on big dreams and this idea we had – right now

I bet right now
My mom is bedroom bound
She’ll Tip toes up the stairs cause Dad sleeps light
I bet right now
My dog spins once around
Sits down Rests her head on her paws and yawns good night

While I’m counting highway lights
Passing every waffle house
Every population sign of every little town
Heading to our next show
In this sleepy van
Running on big dreams and this idea we had – right now

I bet right now
You’re ordering another round
Cursing my name in a bar off 75
I’m sorry but you weren’t bigger than these dreams of mine

I pull up to this marquee sign
In this tiny little town
It has my name in lights
And all I can think about
Is how I feel so alive with my band and this crowd
And for a moment home doesn’t seem so far away
When I grab a pick and begin to play
And all I’m thinking bout is right now
I’m living in the right now
