The best kept secret in music

""Newcomer of the Year""

" A little bit rock and a little bit pop, these local boys make fun, accessible pop-rock for the co-ed party set." - Independant News

""Music that Doesnt Suck""

Every once in a while you find a musical gem. You find it where you least expect it. This is the case with Kevin Larson. I heard him at an open mic night and was blown away. His wonderful voice and meaningful lyrics have him poised for stardom. If you own a record label, or know someone who does, check him out. He would be a great addition to your roster! -

"Make Believe"

Feeling a bit camera shy

Kevin Larson (vocals/Piano/guitar), Eric Mazzone (drums), Shawn Cole (Bass/vocals), and Jimmy Dyson (Electric guitar/violin/vocals), make up the rock group, the Kevin Larson Band. With songs like the pulse-driven The Beautiful, the drum-matic Watch Your Mouth, and the darker sounds of Good Enough, KLB shows their versatility and flare. An example of their real-life lyrics can be seen in their song Lunchtime Romance: Open up your eyes, dont dream, you might miss it all, and the day is golden, growing brighter as the sun comes up, so grab your suntan lotion or you might get burned! Lunchtime Romance states that simply imagining life is not good enough. Life is happening all the time, and it is never really yours until you realize it and become part of it.

Not a typical cover band, or a hardcore rock band that relys on just bass-pounding tactics; KLB writes their lyrics and owns their music. With the band often being compared to Matchbox 20, Maroon 5, Counting Crows, Kevin Larson says this about their music, If you have an appreciation for music and the effort it takes to make it work, you will enjoy our band! So what is their inspiration? "Life in general, everything that goes on from day to day is a song-in-the-making", says Larson. And the entire band agrees that when the music comes together with the rush of the crowd beating like waves against the stage, thats inspiration enough for anyone.

The Kevin Larson Band has been heard across America at college campuses like University of Colorado and on TV shows such as FOXs RU. They have also played at the Frank Brown International Songwriters Festival and of course locally at American Legion in Fort Walton Beach and the night scene at Pensacola Beach. They have opened for national bands including: Lit, Everclear, and also Trapt. In 2005 they recorded their first EP entitled Kevin Larson Band, and are currently working on a new project due out 2006.
