"Grip Premiere"

There’s a new Scottish pop upstart on our radar who goes by the name of KLOË. The Glasgow rookie only has a lone debut offering to her name, but it’s a brilliant first step and we’re thrilled to bring you the premiere today. All space age synths and brooding tortured vocals, “Grip” is equally raw and booming like the moody lovechild of Ellie Goulding and KLOË’s Scottish countrymen CHVRCHES, produced to ghostly perfection by Prides’ drummer and beatsmith, Lewis Gardiner. Get a grip below. - Neon Gold

"Spin Singles Mix"

This mononym’d newcomer fuses dark-pop melodies with raw sentiment in her infidelity-themed confessional. Plinky, patterned samples subdue the 18-year-old Glasgow native’s sugar-sweet vocals, cocooning her shimmering reverb and high harmonies in a seemingly infinite soundscape. It’s as unending as the heartache of which she sings. MAGGIE ROGERS - SPIN Magazine

"'Feel' review"

‘Feel’ is the second ever track to be released by 18 year old Glasgow-based Kloë. It’s confident, self-assured and one of the best pop releases of the year so far. Having burst onto the scene at the end of last year with her glacially cool debut single ‘Grip’, it’s hard to believe you’re not listening to one of the this countries most promising up-and-comers. This new track lives up to every expectation and more.

This latest expedition into the land of dream pop sees Kloë’s sultry vocal transcend rolling drums and shimmering synths as she sings about ‘tripping over clouds’. It’s all about a crush who seemed even more alluring and powerful on stage, the track itself also sounds like it’d be even more magical in a live setting, but having only played one show in her home city we’re waiting for live date announcements before we can confirm that.

Kloë’s full potential is not revealed until the closing minute of the track as the pace builds and she flexes her vocal muscles. The track builds with a blistering crescendo as the R&B edge fades away leaving a distorted, ghostly electro-string instrumental with her crying out “can you feel it now?”. - When The Gramophone Rings
