Bio

KLUB:VHP: Keep it turning 2003.

The journey began in 1997 when Kenny Azeez set up a record label Vhp Records whilst studying music technology at the Thames Valley University in Ealing Broadway West London. The basic idea was to release good quality uplifting Dance music, starting off with US garage, house music and soul. In 1999, Kenny produced 2 tracks to the Abundance Album Guidance, ‘Dreamin’ which he wrote and performed with his new band Vision of Heaven, and ‘Your love is so much better’, co-written with Kati Maki. Vhp Records was then set up as a company and became a ‘proper’ label.
The label then contributed a track, 'Good impression' featuring Faye Whale, to the Sound Clash Album alongside Lust Jackets and Poppy, Nasher, and others. Kenny's band Vision of Heaven then went on to perform on Nickelodeon TV and began to attract offers from various record companies. The band started writing and recording their first album but unfortunately split up in august 2000 and with a temporary new line up which included Laura Notaro and Brigitta Jansen (ex Thunderbugs) went on the Dotmusic schools tour, alongside, Hinda Hicks, Precious, and Chesney Hawkes. Kenny met Paul Leyshon aka Ollie B (hollyoaks and Cavegirl) and began working on an album project ‘Klub:vhp’ in may 2001. Klub:vhp has now evolved into a project band that would feature up and coming talent from around the world.
The first album features celebrities like Paul Leyshon, Arnaud Adam (Harry Potter and Chocolat) and up and coming artists including Laura Loren,
and Nicci Obertelli.
In march 2002, Kenny AKA KZ moved to Melbourne
and began to mix and master the album and is now
fulfilling a dream of running a virtual record label using the internet. The album is now getting
the full interactive treatment and shall be released
in january 2004.
