Bio

The Klyde Pilgrim Project (Acoustic) was formed in 2009 to advance the story of working people through music; using acoustic and electric instruments to convey the narrative. The acoustic Klyde is the pared down, back to the roots, basic story telling that takes place at many family gatherings and small concerts where it’s all about the story. All Klyde songs are intended to describe the situation of working people and to outline and portray the human condition.
The song writing responsibilities are divided up between the band members with each having their own unique style and the individual styles blending into a rich tapestry that creates the Klyde Pilgrim sound.
Klyde, of course, is a concept. While not a real person, Klyde represents everyone who has ever had to put in a forty hour week to feed their family while dreaming every night about fulfilling a creative side of themselves through music or art. Klyde is the guy you know down the street who was always there when you needed him but never seems to catch his lucky break. His struggle to keep the music flowing and the kids fed is a balancing act that many casual performers can appreciate. Klyde holds true to his craft while always looking deep into each situation pulling out concepts and words to help him explain the human interactions that he sees and to write his next song. Who knows? The next song could be about you.
The Klyde Pilgrim Project is currently in the studio recording an EP titled “Klyde Breaks Out” that will enjoy the light of day sometime this summer. In the mean time you can catch the band live. Klyde Pilgrim.com will launch soon or you can catch some “live” videos of the band on YouTube. Klyde is also an electric band and the electric version of Klyde rocks a little harder but with the same aim; to bring the message of the human condition to the world.
