"Featured Artist of the Week"

"Knievel Genius Combine different styles, with a punky edge similar to Gallows then coming in with big rock n roll choruses. Yet it all works in one seamless behemoth of a track... It just totally blew my mind!"

- Alex Baker, Kerrang! Unsigned Show - Kerrang! Radio

"Radio Play"

"KG bring sleazy, passionate rock music to the screamo generation..." - Bruce Dickinson Rock Show

"Daylight Review"

"Pummelling drums and a big-ass, dirty groove power it forwards, throat-lacerating vocals charge towards a more accessible chorus.... A very promising début." - rock

"Daylight Review"

For a debut, ‘Daylight’ sounds incredibly polished – chock full of ramped up time changes, chugging guitars lines in a 90’s alternative rock vibe and also, exactly as the press release says, it actually sounds manly, not produced by teenies. -

"Daylight Review"

...The production is bone crushing, whacking in the two guitars nicely with a heavy metal sensibility... Whilst it’s both heavy and almost poppy, the band relent from over investing in any proven formula. - Music

Cobalt, asphalt…you don’t need to be a musical scientist to recognise and appreciate a new ROCK formation, here’s… KNIEVEL GENIUS. With their 2005 inception in the shires and a handful of head-turning support slots under their belts the decision was made to conquer further territories and move base-camp to the musical metropolis otherwise known as Laaanduhn.

Sharing a common passion for bludgeoning riffs and dynamite rhythms had got them so far but now it was time to add further weapons to their armoury. The addition of a set of delicate harmonies to further bolster their brute-force power and stoner-esque vibe has transformed them into a formidable outfit to be reckoned with.

Theres no escape from the haunting power of ‘Houdini’, you’d be a fool to mess with ‘Daylight’ and ‘Weakling’ harnesses knockout vocal harmonies and a hook that’s more contagious than Mexican flying pig sickness.

Gimmick-free and chorus-strong, KG don’t need a scene or a genre to justify their being, instead their tunes are equipped to batter asteroids away, steal your girlfriends and write the soundtrack while they’re at it. Where other bands suffer under a guitar maelstrom, Knievel Genius surf it.

Influenced by the bands they grew up with, from the monsters of the 80s and 90s such as Nirvana, Helmet, At the Drive-In and Deftones to lesser known acts such as Group Dogdrill, Therapy? and Kerbdog, KG have played across the UK, headlining venues in Camden, Northampton, Nottingham, Brighton and their home town of Bedford.
