Knighttrain

Knighttrain was born and raised in Harlem. In the projects of Dewitt Clinton houses was where he learned his most important lessons from a single mother. The want to make his families life better has taken him through many paths. One of those paths is college. Knighttrain is currently attending Hamilton College one of the premiere colleges in the country. So he is an artist who clearly does not underestimate education. His love for everything creative started early on when he was involved in Harlem Boys Choir. He later moved to writing poetry consistently to drawing and designing using photoshop. So it is no surprise when he decided to focus his creative instincts towards music. His wordplay and extensive vocabulary made the transition easier. He is currently working on expanding his fan base and giving the crowd good music.

Knighttrain is an artist who is ready to bring the world a combination of lyricism, club banging and overall knee shaking (yes knee shaking not head bopping) music. His influences lie in the older generation of Hip Hop which include Nas, Tupac, Slick Rick and A Tribe Called Quest. The vision that he currently is formulating is in line with one of his contemporary influences which is J Cole. Knighttrain is trying to make classics and everlasting music. He is not looking to get a quick buck but he respects the roots of the music and is ready to do it justice. Knighttrain is trying to be the Sade of Hip Hop. Just drop music every ten years but when it drops its classic and everlasting music.

So…basically hard to describe but beautifully encapsulated in one person.
