Biography

Knobsticker is a duo that delivers drum 'n disco - danceable songs based on live drums and keys.

Forest Fruit
For their debut album 'Forest Fruit' Knobsticker collaborated with fellow musicians Steye, Benny Sings, Master Surreal, Charlene and Dean Tippet. During the making of this record, Knobsticker also got inspired by the atmosphere of the deep forests of Eastern Europe. The sound of wood and birds helped them to create an album with 12 fresh disco-electro songs, partly instrumental and partly with the vocalists named above.
The album was released in October 2009 on Dox Records (Amsterdam) and has been well-received by the media.

Forest Fruit Tour
In 2010 Knobsticker started touring with the material of 'Forest Fruit'. To fully bring to life the atmosphere of the woods on stage as well, the band members transform into their alter-egos: lumberjacks in their natural habitat, completely supported by visuals and a decor of trees.
During shows the band is supplemented by a bass player and usually a few guest vocalists, like Steye and Master Surreal. An excellent formula for the dance floor, which they've proven in clubs like Paradiso, Tivoli, 013 and at several interesting festivals such as Noorderslag, Bevrijdingsfestival Utrecht and Source Festival.

And now…
Knobsticker is still playing live with the Forest Fruit material and meanwhile added some new songs to their repertoire. More songs are written while Knobsticker slowly but surely works towards a follow-up of their debut album.
In october 2010 a remix EP with 6 Knobsticker remixes has been released on iTunes, including a pumpin' hot remix by Dutch dance duo Baskerville.
