BandMetalPunk

The next big heavy pop punk band coming straight out of the Windy City, with huge, catchy choruses, driving verses and crowd sing a-long lyrics will keep you hitting repeat on your iPod!

Biography

Formed in 2010, Chicago, Illinois' KNOCKOUT KID delivers pop punk with an edge. Call them the genre’s answer to “easycore,” but instead of generic breakdowns and been-done gang vocals, KNOCKOUT KID relies on metalcore-inspired riffs and choruses catchy enough to keep you up at night. Since their inception three years ago, the band has officially released two EP’s and one LP. The first EP, 2011’s “Your Name All Over It,” was the only release to feature the band's original vocalist, who was relieved of all duties for personal reasons in early 2012. The summer of 2012 saw the band bring ex-A Face For Radio vocalist Wade Hunt into the mix – with extremely cohesive results. KNOCKOUT KID toured the entire nation immediately after Hunt’s arrival and has no plans to slow down anytime soon. KNOCKOUT KID’s second EP, 2013’s “The Callback” showcases the band’s new-found grit, which has increased their foothold in the Chicago music scene and now with fans in every state, KNOCKOUT KID will be touring heavily in support of their debut full length, “It Comes With The Job Description,” which was released digitally worldwide on 3/26/13.
