The band was formed two years ago in the premises of the University of Puerto Rico.
They've participated in well-known rock tours around the cities, capturing the attention of the young crowd and even more mature ones. Being known for combining pop rock structures with a well though out, out-of-the box alternative compositions. Recognized for strong and unusual bass lines, loud and harmonious guitar riffs, brilliant and energetic voice melodies followed by powerful but mellow drum patterns and with a little help from their electronic tools the band comes around with an unusual, and sometimes breath-taking pop formula.
In the summer of 2008, Koala was signed to the performance rights organization SESAC. Koala is the first rock band to be signed to SESAC out of Puerto Rico.Koala fans are looking forward to the release of their first, and long awaited E.P.. Since their first live musical performance the bands followers have been desperate to own their single "Stereo Irreal". The band has been recording for quite some time, but the product will most likely be ready in summer of next year and promises to be a beautiful blend of British alternative with pop rock. All of this has been possible with the help of Javier "Tito" Morales,Francisco "kiko" Hurtado,"Billy" of Larsen Artist Management,Alex Manuel of "kantares","Millo" Torres, "Egui", Orlando, Luis, Pablo Garcia, "el gemelo", Danny Fornaris, Kenny Cordova(SESAC), and all of our followers, friends, and families. Puerto Rico has never been known for a rich rock culture and koala plans to put another perspective on that point of view...

Koala se formo hace aproximadamente 28 meses.Estamos terminando nuestro primer E.P. que estara disponible pronto.La banda (en tan corta trayectoria)ha compartido presentaciones junto a bandas locales(Black Guayaba,Polbo,etc...) y extranjeras(Jumbo,..) en lugares como el Anfiteatro Tito Puente, el Latin Grammy Music Forum,Rock Sessions, entre otros. Proximamente estaran lanzando un sencillo al igual que un video promocional junto a una serie de presentaciones relacionadas al lanzamiento de la produccion.Gracias a Javier "Tito" Morales,Francisco Hurtado,Larsen Artist Management,Alex Manuel "kantares","Millo" Torres, "Egui", Orlando, Luis, Pablo Garcia,Kenny Cordova(SESAC)y a nuestros seguidores,amigos y familiares por todo el apoyo.
